ezlink card ALERT!

something wierd, unexpected and embarrassing thing happen to me today. somehow my ezlink card couldnt work.

was on my way home, took 23 to go interchange. as usual, 6pm, the bus is fully packed with people. so there i was trying to tap my card...but it didnt seem to make that "tit tit" sound. tried both "machines" but both also didnt work..hmm..so i just walk in (well, with the hope of a free ride. :/ its not like u get free rides all the time right) hah! i was so totally wrong!! the bus driver stopped the bus and didnt move and when i turned to look he was waving at me! GOSH! luckily im not alone..thanx to azi and chang tat who bored the bus also. so i had to try remain calm, dig all the coins that ive got and excuse myself to the front. guess where the embarrassment comes...when i had to walk ALL THE WAY FROM THE BACK TO THE FRONT!!! and back to the back again...ooh..how i wish i had a runway show! everyone was so totally looking at me la. "the girl who TRIED not to pay" hahah.. then when i walked back, i hit almost everyone and a guy who was reading a newspaper. i so totally hit the newspaper onto his face! ahahah.. so again, said "sorry" and "excuse me" to almost everyone and making my way through to the back was another embarassing moment. so since then i totally went quiet cos i was still embarassed, puzzled on why my card cant work and just too stunned to talk until azi had to tell me quite a number of times to "relax" and "forget bout it", even when we were walking at CS and TM. ahahha...

what a day..guess we dont get that kind of..shall i say "happenings" that often huh..got the answer to my unusable card. its cos "the chip in the ezlink card is spoilt" - quoted from the transitlink lady. so i will have to renew my card...tomorrow. and hopefully it will work and wont make me embarrasse anymore, unlike this old one. so u people out there using ezlink cards (well, technically everyone..) look out for ur cards ya, u'll never know when it will wanna "attract ur attention"
