haha..a whole lot of thm..3kg! -.o
did it from scratch - potong, tumbuk, goreng, campur, gaul..and even making it into small looking 'ball'-like shapes. hehe.
im so proud of myself! of course the garam n pepper part i hafta ask my sis. heh.
was reminded by my late grandmother while i was doin it. she used to always do bagedils back thn whn i was lil. with the help of my two aunties. and me, well..i helped out in the curi2 mkn part. haha~ i will curi the sliced potatoes aft she hav fried thm. o0o0o..yummy. and she will always say, 'jgn amik lagi la, nnt tk cukup tau. nah amik nie. dah eh..' and hands me a plate of fried sliced potatoes. 0.0 hahaha..well, it was gd memories. throughout the whole time i was doin the bagedils, her advice kps on lingerin in my head.
- frying the potatoes cannt too long, nnt gelap.
- whn tumbuk the potatoes, make sure it is fully mashed. jadi lembut bile mkn.
- whn tumbuk other ingredients (meat, bawang goreng etc..), dun hafta hit so hard. slightly onli. dun wan too halus. nnt tk rase.
- whn doin the bagedils into small-like balls, must make sure its 'grouped' together. so it wun 'break' whn fryin. jadi cantik.
it was quite an accomplishment for me as it was my first time makin it. :) and i did quite alot. altho personally i find its ABIT bland. maybe shld add slightly more salt. hmm.. hehe. but nonetheless, i passed in making it. cos it dint 'break' whn i fried it on first day of raya. haha!
so, in memory of my late grandmother, let me dedicate this to her, for the knowledge. :)
(ps: hp photo quality low. oops!)

wonder how the name 'begedil' came about. it's one of my fav - esp eaten with mee soto. Save the recipe as a legacy from your grandma.
